Obviously a bad move for white. But how can black take the best advantage of it?
Hint: showI played Be2 to get the rook, but that’s not a good move. More material can be won.
Solution: showThreaten a fork on e2 with the knight. The white knight can cover the spot for a while, but the black a and b pawns can chase the white bishop for a bit before they threaten that knight.
Solution: showFork the queen and the bishop. Either the queen gives up defending the bishop, or it tries to defend it. In the latter case, use the bishops.
The moves following here look like a harmless, automated trade of the minor pieces. But actually I (white) missed a chance to win material here. What should I have done in move 14?
The actual game is below. Find the moves for white that win material.
